When you ask our registrants why they keep coming back to the British Invasion the answer usually has something to do with community. The British Invasion provides a unique place for people to share their passion for British motorcars. A lot of work and energy goes into the restoration and maintenance of the gorgeous cars you see on our field every year. Not many people understand the passion, the struggle, and the art of a clean carburetor quite like the British Invasion registrants. It’s the togetherness of shared passion that is the true foundation of our show and community.
Every year people embrace, unfold their chairs, and settle in for a long weekend essentially spent parked in a field. It’s not just the stunning display of cars they come for though, it’s the laughs, chats, camaraderie, and casual people watching. They come for the hours spent camped around their tailgate telling many of the same stories they’ve told before with the same joy as the first time. We all come for the experience of community that reaches across the years and the distance traveled.
Over the past thirty years, we’ve seen people huddled close under umbrellas as a hurricane bucketed down on them. We have seen cars pushed or even carried by helping hands. We watched as new grandchildren toddled across the field and new drivers took their first spin in their parents’ cars. Nestled among all these shared memories rests the heart of the event, and for this, we want to thank you.
You are all the beating heart of the British Invasion. We thank you deeply for the thirty years of memories, laughter, and community.
As we embark on a new digital adventure to keep our community connected, we hope you will continue to support us with your stories, pictures, and media.
Happy Motoring!
