We are pleased to announce that Jaguar Land Rover of NA will take an active role in British Invasion 2018. They are bringing a Camel Trophy Winning Land Rover and its’ Driver. They are bringing a One-Off Carbon Fiber Jaguar XK-180 Concept Car and a couple of Electric Motorcars for your viewing pleasure. They will also set-up a special Photo Booth and have several Product Specialists on hand to answer your inquiries about their product line.
If you have not signed up for our Saturday evening Dinner at the Snowflake Resort, seating is still available. The food and company are both enjoyable and we hope you will join us.
The State of Vermont has replaced the road from Stowe to the Mountain and have been working to replace and repave Route 100 from Waterbury/RT 89 to Stowe and are almost done. Well almost done, not including the last 1 mile from Gold Brook Road to the Police/Fire Station just outside downtown. We have asked the State of VT to set out an attractive detour that will allow you to remain on paved roads and avoid the 3-way downtown stops signs. The State has set out detour signs. Take a LEFT onto Moscow road, proceed over a small bridge and go past River Road (it’s dirt and takes you to the police station). Take a RIGHT on Barrows Road. This will bring you past some scenic farm land, a few cows, a view of the mountains, and bring you past the Stowe High School and to a Stop Sign (10 Acres Lodge will be on your LEFT). Take a RIGHT at the Stop sign onto LUCE HILL Road (the corn field on the left is part of Bouchard Farm where the British Invasion was held for several years) and follow to your next Stop Sign which is Mountain Road. At Mountain Road, you are on your own. A RIGHT will bring you to Weeks Hill Road and then downtown Stowe.
If you are at the Stowe Special Events Field and wish to head for downtown and avoid the 3-Way Stop Sign on Main Street, then take a RIGHT from the Show Field onto Weeks Hill Road, drive across the Bridge and take an IMMEDIATE RIGHT onto Mayo Farm Road. Follow Mayo Farm Road to the Stop Sign and take a RIGHT onto West Hill Road and Follow to Route 100 (Shaw’s Market will be on our Right and a pumpkin patch and an old chicken barn on your left.) A RIGHT will take you downtown and a LEFT will take you to Morrisville.
We hope that you have a safe and enjoyable ride to Stowe and that you will enjoy the events we have planned. If you would like to volunteer to help move the event along, we are in need of ballot counters at the Registration Tent on Saturday late morning. We also can benefit from volunteers to help direct traffic flow on Saturday and Sunday morning.
